Based in the village of Upchurch in Kent we offer horse riders of all ages and abilities the very best in riding equipment, equestrian wear and country clothing.

Established in 1990, Snaffles is a business owned and operated by a family that has spent their lives around horses! Our children all started out at the local riding school, then the inevitable happened. Their first ponies were bought which led to local shows, pony club, hunting and eventing, progressing through the BSJA show jumping ranks leading to Hickstead and the Horse of the Year Show and eventually representing Britain in the Junior and Young Riders teams. It took them a lot of hard work, but they proved what we’re seeing every day in modern horse riding; anyone can do it!

Supporting our children through their equestrian hobbies has given us an essential insider’s view of the many riding products and requirements for the beginner through to the more advanced. We’ve built our range of stock around the very best manufacturers and suppliers and worked hard to find real diversity and choice with many young, trendy and unusual accessories and clothing items.

Running our own shop in Kent we have had the pleasure to watch a whole generation of riders grow up and start bringing in their own children, and now we’re looking forward to be offering online ordering across the UK and overseas, with items delivered by post from us or direct from the manufacturers, ensuring delivery within 3-5 working days (UK).

We offer a wealth of experience and have watched the industry transform from old fashioned to fashionable over the years so we encourage you to contact us and ask advice if you’re not sure about anything.
